I got a really heartfelt email from one of the people on the Internet Phenomenon list a couple of days ago. The guy who wrote it was ready to throw this whole internet marketing thing away.

I could really feel where he was at having been there more than once myself.

Obviously – I’m not naming any names – but if you are reading this mate – this is for you… but it’s also for anyone who has tried and not yet cracked the internet marketing game…

Everyone could learn from this.

There are no more starving crowds. That was one of the main statements that got me from the email… “Don’t tell me that I need to find a starving crowd – I’ve tried and can’t find any.”… or words to that effect.

Yes, it’s true the starting crowd idea it still widely publicised by many marketing “Gurus” and it’s also true that there are plenty of these guru’s that have actually only made money selling how to make money info…

BUT, and this is a huge but…

The reality is that there are millions of people making money online who have never been in the internet marketing niche and never made a ‘how to make money’ product – ever!

Some of these people have done so in niches where you’d expect the crowd to be full to bursting rather than starving.

warrenbooth… Like weight loss!

Talk about an overcrowded market right?

(and all jokes about starting crowds aside…) Yet there are still people right now going into that market and making money.

But I want to share what I’ve noticed in the last couple of years.

Selling info products online has become somewhat harder.

(But I'm going to tell you how to enter that market even easier in a minute.)

In order to make info products work you have to step up with the level and quality of information. It needs to be delivering a huge result for people, and it generally has to be something they can’t find online anywhere else without a lot of effort…

And since there is so much information online for free, finding THAT  niche can be very hard. You don’t need to worry about finding a niche that no one else is in… that doesn’t exist anymore… But you do need to be better than everyone else to make a go of it…

That’s a lot of pressure.

So let’s look at the other side of the scale…

What are people buying? Outside of rent/mortgage, bills and food, what do most people spend their money on?

That’s a question that you need to answer.

I’ll give you a hint:

People are buying … stuff.

If you sell info products you’re probably going to be in for a hard slog… but if you sell ‘stuff’ you’re going to have an easier time of it.

I know that goes against what many gurus will tell you but when I look at what the market is really spending money on… I see people buying physical products online … like crazy!

It’s a feeding frenzy out there.

Yes, it’s true that these people are probably not a starving crowd… but they’re sure acting like it.

eCommerce is has become a norm.

People’s resistance to pulling out the ‘plastic’ and buying stuff has never been so low and like the old… old days of internet marketing you don’t have to be able to write amazing copy to sell the ‘stuff’.

I’ve seen things with a couple of good pictures and just a few words of description sell like cold beer on a hot day.

So if you are looking for a starving crowd… if you want to make money online… if you want to be the lemonade stand in hell…

Start to tune in to what you see people buying…

When you’re out and about… when you’re watching telly… when you’re standing in the checkout queue…

Notice what people are buying.
